Our favorite part of the process is the first “Draft 1” review where we get to see multiple camera angles, mood, lighting and materiality. This is where the project really comes alive for the client and design team. We do a pretty good job of being able to visualize materiality, both mentally and in our own software, but seeing what Notion can do is a huge benefit for the project. It also allows us to see what didn’t turn out the way we visualized it and allow us to make some pretty critical improvements in the design stage.

We use the images primarily for marketing but also for assistance with client visualization. On Parkview West we had an opportunity to provide a more accurate rendering for our jurisdictions Design Review process and its undeniable the benefit the renderings provided in the approval process.

Most people did not even know they were renderings! And we are not talking about just your average run-of-the-mill client, some of our most experienced developers and repeat clients thought our renderings were photographs and it blew them away. We see more and more clients asking for this service, both with our custom residential as well and commercial and multi-family developers.

Notion is an amazing asset to our company. The only downside is they are simply too good and too busy! Ha! We love Daniel and Alaina and they have been instrumental in landing new and exciting projects by allowing us to market our un-built work.

I love doing outdoor shots because it was nice to see the way different time of day affects the renderings and liked seeing those options.

Really nothing compares to the excitement of receiving the final renderings and sharing them with clients. We get deeply invested in our designs and very excited to see them built. However, the process takes a long time so the sneak peak into the future that Notion’s artful realism brings energizes our clients and team. The renderings clarify the vision of the project and keep the excitement high. Sort of like an espresso stop on a long drive to great beach.

As a young firm, it takes a while to get built work complete and photographed. We have used the renderings to showcase our current projects long before the projects are complete. We have added them to our website and Instagram feed and they are always a hit.

They love sharing the images with friends and family and getting everyone excited about the project. New clients have come to us and mentioned that the renderings of the latest designs are what really drew them to the firm.
